God never ceases putting His passion in people. Marina is one of them . . .
I met Marina in Cyprus in a Christian camp and I was struck by her warm personality and kindness… but that was years ago. It was not until a couple of months ago that I found out she enrolled at the Greek Bible College here in Athens and was planning to move here from Cyprus. I was really excited about her decision and waited to see her and hear her story.
It was not too long before she shared her heart with me. She is convinced God led her steps here. She has compassion for women in prostitution and trafficking and came here to study God’s word and be part of that ministry in the centre of Athens. She told me how trafficking is a huge problem in Cyprus too and there is still nothing formally organized to address the issue there. Marina’s vision is to start a ministry to trafficked women in Cyprus. She wants to study further and specialise in this area so that she can be more effective in helping them wholistically.
I was very moved to see her determination and active love for God and people. I live to see the Esthers of today and Marina is one of them. Be bold my girl!
